The challenge
SportXL generates a large share of its revenue through Amazon. Settlements arrived every two weeks: hundreds of orders, fees and corrections in a single file, in a format that differed slightly from report to report.
Orders for which no payout ever arrived stood out nowhere. As long as the total roughly matched revenue, there was no reason to dig into individual orders.
In hindsight, a small percentage of orders had simply never been paid out for years — invisible in any aggregate view.
The approach
SportXL imported its Amazon settlements into Linqer. The AI recognized the file format automatically and converted every line into a standardized transaction model.
Every order from their own system was matched to the corresponding payout line. Orders without a payout immediately surfaced as missing payouts, with order amount, date and expected payout date.
A case was created for every missing payout, complete with evidence, ready to submit to Amazon as a claim.
Results
In the first month, €23,000 in missing payouts came to light: orders that had been delivered but never paid out — some of them years ago.
The claims were submitted to Amazon with order evidence, and the check now runs monthly, without any manual Excel work.
Every new settlement is checked in full; new gaps in the payouts are detected before the claim deadline expires.
