Payout
The amount a marketplace transfers to a seller after deducting commission, fees and returns.
Reconciliation
Matching orders against payouts and invoices to verify that every amount is correct.
Commission
The percentage of the sales value a marketplace withholds as a fee for the sale.
Fee
An additional cost on top of commission, such as fulfilment, shipping, payment or storage fees.
Settlement
The statement in which a marketplace summarises orders, fees and returns into an amount to be paid out.
Discrepancy
A difference between what you expect and what the marketplace actually paid out or withheld.
Chargeback
A reversal of a payment, for example after a dispute or a fraudulent transaction.
Credit note
A document that fully or partially corrects an earlier invoice, often after a return.
Match rate
